Psychology & Mental Health

In therapy, children are often seen as problems or victims, but I emphasize their role as valuable therapeutic resources. Reframing children’s symptoms relationally highlights their competence, amplifies their voices, and enables them to guide family emotional exploration. Using a multigenerational family therapy approach, I engage children to uncover key family events, repair bonds, and promote both individual healing and family transformation. ~ Prof. Dr. Maurizio Andolfi

“Bowen Family Therapy sees families as an emotional system where past generations shape present relationships. It explores staying independent while staying connected (differentiation of self), how stress moves through a family (emotional triangles), and how parents pass worries to children (family projection process). This approach helps people understand their roles, manage anxiety, and build healthier relationships.” ~ Prof. Dr. Murray Bowen
